Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musical family. When she was a kid, she listened to a lot of traditional music as well as old boleros. Also, she listened to the traditional romance ballads as well as ranchero. Ana is a lover of tangos, opera, and all forms of dramatic performance. She began singing and learning the piano with her mom, she began her more intensive singing training at the age of 16 with renowned Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. In the School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico furthered her education in music. She performed throughout Guadalajara, Mexico City and other cities as a young scholar and professional. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to Southern California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and sings Latin American traditional music solo at many private events. Ana is involved in a variety of local initiatives and is a teacher as well as a performer due to her enthusiasm of music and art. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently a teacher of the Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to be able share with others her passion for traditional Latin American music. She hopes to help younger generations continue the tradition.
