Christopher Robert Evans is an American actor from the United States. His career began with roles in television series, like Opposite Sex in 2000. His fame was boosted by his performance as Human Torch, the Marvel Comics character in Fantastic Four (2007) and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2008). Evans has appeared in numerous films that adapted comics and graphic novels like TMNT (2007) Scott Pilgrim and the World vs. the World (2009) as well as Snowpiercer (2013). Alongside his character as Steve Rogers/Captain America Evans earned him recognition for his appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies Captain America: The First Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2015) as well as Captain America: Civil War. He was able to become one of the most highly paid actors on the planet due to his role in the Marvel series.
